FINAL PRESENTATION
This project aimed to create a photo-realistic representation of a modern living space using UE4. For the final presentation of the space, I created meshes, materials, and lighting except for the wall paintings, which were sourced from free stock image sites.
FINAL RENDERS
The biggest challenge I faced was lighting; it took a tremendous amount of effort and research to get light from a single source (the far wall) to look correct, matching the reference image. Overall, I'm thrilled with how this came out; I've had several people tell me they didn't know it was a digital render until I told them, which is a good sign.
REFERENCE IMAGE
I used this image as the reference for my scene. I chose it for the diverse materials and clean presentation. I had a very tight deadline for creation, about ten days, so I wanted to focus on just a few objects and nailing those instead of overwhelming myself with numerous lower-quality assets.
